 I think so many people are keyboardactivists right everybody's good at sending a tweet about how the worldshould be and nobody's doing anything about it and that just that is just verymuch human nature we've gotten soft as a culture yes you know I mean of coursewe've gotten soft as a culture in the u.s. because the US has had anincredible two hundred year run right like this is just what happens you knowso as a culture you know I can't speak for you know people that live in theAmazon River and I can't speak for you know people that still live in Belarusbut the American culture is soft and that's a great thing that means there'sbeen enormous amounts of prosperity but let's not be naiveI mean people literally complain when somebody gives them the wrong amount oflike extra cream in a Starbucks $6 coffee you my lack of interest in complaining is sohigh and when I watch what people complain about it breaks my heartbecause they completely lack perspective...

 So last week in our staff meeting the conversationcame about after we were reading the book, Contagious, and I asked the question fromeverybody. I said, hey, can you tell me why I make ita requirement for us to read a book a month? We've been doing this for seven-and-a-halfyears. Why? And I got four responses. One of them said, Pat, you want us to improve. I said, okay, great. What else? The other person said, you want our mindsto be working and thinking about work after hours. That was an interesting one. Another person said, it brings us together. Because we're advancing together. Another person said ideas. And I said, "Everything is great. But let me tell you why we read books." I said, "I want all of you to want to makemore money. How many of you guys want to make more money?" And they raised their hands. Now remember, this is not sales. This is W-2 jobs.
